4 Ways to Build Relationships with Other Bloggers

Guest Post By: Alia Haley

Whether you want to make new friends, or just to advertise your niche or to make yourself more
accessible, social blogging is good for you as it keeps you in sight of other people. By being involved with the social community you will be able to drive traffic to your site and improve your rankings. As people get to know you better and you develop lasting relationships, you will get better search engines which can only be beneficial. Here are 4 ways in which you can build relationships with other bloggers, if you are at a loss of how to go about it.

1. Visiting other people's blog

Don't be hesitant to visit other people's blog as this can be an ice breaker. If you want others to come
to your block then you need to visit them as well. You can start out by searching for some blogs which relates to your interest and be regular in your visit. You can also observe their posts which will make it easier to understand what they want and their opinions about it. By observing their posts and how they write can help to improve your own and can be very useful, if you want to make any changes in your blog.

2. Talk to them and comment on other blogs

You can show that you are engaged to your niche of interest by asking questions and inviting opinions. Even if you throw interesting stories and facts on your blog, unless you are good at keeping the flow of conversation going, this exercise will only be futile. So, as much as you ask for opinions, be prompt and respond to messages and comments. When you give your valuable suggestions or comments, other bloggers will be attracted to your blog. Always comment with new ideas as far as possible and do be confident in your approach.

3. Take the chance

If you are shy about approaching other bloggers, you will never make any headway. Do not be hesitant to send a message, tweet or email to others as this can be a good way of breaking the barrier. You will be surprised how other bloggers are eager to get comments and valuable suggestions as this is good for their improvement. Likewise, it will work out beneficial for you, towards starting new relationships with other bloggers. Go a step further and write a few articles for guest postings if allowed, as this will create back links for you and in time, your reputation will be established with a flow of loyal readers.

4. Avoid the compare and contrast game

Don't feel scared of the numbers that bigger bloggers have because they too started off like you.
Everyone has to start somewhere and the point is to build good relationships with like-minded people in the long run. When you enjoy talking and interacting with people whom you share similar interest, you will naturally be more benefited. At the same time do not be afraid to do an interview on your blog or to show off some of their work so that you can feature them.

Remember, the more you are willing to get out there, the more you will be doing towards building
successful relationships with other bloggers.
